The final countdown…

So the end of Nanowrimo is in sight. I hit 46,000 today. I’m planning on doing 2,000 tomorrow and the same on Sunday and then I’ll have finished.

Well, I’ll have finished Nanowrimo.

I already know I’m going to have to lose a lot of what I’ve written, but the process of writing it has allowed me to play with ideas, plotting and story. That in turn has helped clarify my thinking of where the novel is going, and that’s when things will get really interesting.

I’ve got a lot more to say on that subject but I’m going to wait until my little Nano bar turns green to show I’ve reached my 50K. Once that’s happened I’m going to write a blog about where my novel goes next.
